Welcome to the Motherland! Now that you are here we will whisk you away to Marriott Hotel Melrose Arch and get you settled in. Afterwards as a group we will kick off our South African journey with a welcome dinner and party (Dinner is optional and at your own cost).

Get to know Soweto and Johannesburg
The best way to experience a destination is to immerse yourself in its history. Johannesburg is the largest city in South Africa. We will start the day with a tour of Johannesburg also known as Jozi or Jo'burg and the biggest township Soweto.
We will visit Nelson Mandela's home, Constitution Hill and other landmark sites.

Monday, August 7th
Safari Day
Today we will check out our Johannesburg hotel and head to our safari adventure in Pilanesburg. After passing by local towns and villages, we will arrive at our safari lodge (Shepherd Tree or Ivory Lodge or similar) in Pilanesburg. Pilanesburg is the fourth largest park in South Africa and is home to over 7,000 animals and 360 bird species.
Our safari experience begins with an afternoon safari game drive. During the game drive we will explore the park in open vehicles and get up close and personal with nature. Afterwards, we will enjoy a South African dinner (included) before going back to our individual accommodations to gear up for the morning game drive. The African night sky is a sight that you never forget make sure to enjoy the beauty of it.

Tuesday, August 8th
Morning Safari
Early mornings at safari parks are magical. Wake up early for a morning game drive to experience the beauty of nature at sunrise. Enjoy the brisk morning air as we explore the wilderness untouched by man.
After our morning game drive is complete we will return to the lodge for a tasty breakfast and depart for our next part of the adventure in Cape Town.
Arrive in Cape Town also known as the "Mother City" and settle in to our accommodations (AC Hotel by Marriott Cape Town Waterfront or similar).
Explore Cape Town on your own or add on an optional activity.
One way to experience a location is through its food. Let the rhythm of the drums set the mood as you experience an authentic South African dinner.

Friday, August 11th
Robben Island & Table Mountain
Let's explore South Africa's dark past by visiting Robben Island where Nelson Mandela spent 18 of his 27 years in prison. You will be transported by ferry and experience a guided tour. Afterwards you will be whisked away via cableway and experience the beauty of the iconic Table Mountain. Table Mountain is one of the most recognizable landmarks of Africa and is one of the new seven wonders of nature.
After we complete our Cape Town experience, get ready to farewell to Cape Town and South Africa by exploring the night life and experience the sounds of Afro beats locally.
